Board Games

I was never much into video games. Instead, I have found a lot of fun in their analog counterparts. From light party games to heavy strategy games, I can usually find some enjoyment in a stack of cards, dice, and cardboard chits.

My favorite games include: Splendor, The Pursuit of Happiness, Champions of Midgard, Clank!, The Networks, and Raiders of the North Sea.

Beer

Louisville has a pretty robust craft beer scene. Although the pandemic has put a severe damper on my frequenting of these locations, I still like to see what’s available from stores or other carry-out methods.

Some of my favorite local breweries include 3rd Turn Brewing, Gallant Fox Brewing, TEN20 Brewery, and The New Albanian Brewing Company.

Comic Books

Although I’m not as deep into the hobby as I used to be, I still enjoy the “funny books” from time to time. I still have a huge Captain America collection, and also enjoy works from Grant Morrison (Doom Patrol, We3), John Ostrander (Suicide Squad, GrimJack), Bryan Talbot (The Adventures of Luther Arkwright, Grandville), Alan Moore (Watchmen, From Hell), and others.
